More than a rub-down
Sports massage at OMMEYA is not only for athletes. It is a hands-on recovery session that combines deep tissue massage with functional release, assisted stretching and mobility work. The goal is to help tight, overworked muscles recover, to ease the tension that builds up from training or long hours at a desk, and to improve the quality of your movement.
Every session starts with a short conversation about what you are feeling, what you do and what you want from the treatment. From there the therapist adapts pressure and technique. Deep tissue work targets specific areas; functional release and assisted mobility address how those areas move together.
Because OMMEYA also offers personal training, massage can be paired with your programme so recovery is planned rather than left to chance. All services are complementary and non-clinical.

Meet the whole teamCommon questions about sports & recovery massage in Worcester
Does sports massage hurt?
Deep tissue work can feel intense on tight areas, but it should never be beyond what you are comfortable with. You set the pressure and the therapist adjusts as you go.
Do I need to be an athlete to book a sports massage?
No. Many of our clients are office workers, parents and people who simply carry tension. The techniques are the same; the intensity is matched to you.
How long is a session?
Session length depends on the areas being treated. We will recommend a duration when you get in touch and confirm it at your consultation.
Where is the studio?
Unit 20 The Gallery, Market Hall, The Shambles, Worcester WR1 2RF, a short walk from the High Street and Worcester Cathedral.
Can I combine massage with personal training?
Yes. Many clients schedule recovery massage alongside their training programme. Ask about combining both when you message us.
